Algolux Named as CES 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree
MONTREAL, QC – January 18, 2022 – Algolux, a globally recognized computer vision software company, today announced that it has been named a CES® 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree for its Eos Embedded Perception Software, delivering industry-leading robustness for automotive advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles. This year’s CES Innovation Awards program received a record high number of over 1800 submissions. The announcement was made following CES 2022, the world’s most influential technology event, held Jan. 5-8 in Las Vegas, NV and digitally.
Automotive ADAS and autonomous vehicle systems are the key to improving road safety and unlocking the future of transportation via new mobility services, such as self-driving shuttles and automated trucking. But these systems fail due to a lack of computer vision robustness in common but challenging driving scenarios, such as poor weather conditions and low light.
Eos is an award-winning embedded perception solution that massively improves vision system robustness in all conditions while being easily scaled to any vision system architecture. Benchmarked by many of the top OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive and autonomous vehicle industries, Eos has been shown to outperform the leading commercial alternatives by up to 3x in detection accuracy, especially in these difficult scenarios.
The CES Innovation Awards program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in 27 consumer technology product categories. Those with the highest rating receive the “Best of Innovation” distinction. An elite panel of industry expert judges, including members of the media, designers, engineers and more, reviewed submissions based on innovation, engineering and functionality, aesthetic and design.
“Robust perception in all conditions is critical for the safe operation of consumer vehicles, commercial transportation, and various forms of autonomy,” said Allan Benchetrit, Algolux CEO. “Algolux is thrilled to have our Eos Embedded Perception Software platform recognized by the CES 2022 Innovation Awards panel of global experts and influential media for its impact on safety in automotive ADAS and autonomous vehicles.”
